1875Sadakichi Abo establishes a miso and soy sauce manufacturing business
1952Abo Miso Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is established in Aomori City
1962Designated as a Model Company by the Japan Productivity Center
1977Receives the Health and Welfare Minister Award as an Outstanding Food Hygiene Factory
1984Receives the Invention Award from the Director-General of the SME Agency for its granulated miso manufacturing method
1990Receives the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Award as an Outstanding Food Manufacturer
2002Both Granule Miso Soup and Bonju Hyakusui are awarded the Grand Gold Medal from the Monde Selection.
2004Receives the Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for its development of the granulated miso production method
2007Tsugaru Kaikyo, additive-free red granulated miso, is awarded with the iTQi Award
